Pleasant Harbor Rebirth & Relaunch

One Destination. Endless Ways to Play.

A comprehensive destination-marketing proposal presented by Palmetto Media Company.

More Than a Marina.
More Than an RV Resort.

Pleasant Harbor is not defined by a single attraction. It is a complete Lake Pleasant destination where boating, camping, dining, recreation, entertainment and unforgettable Arizona experiences all come together.

From the full-service marina and Pleasant Harbor Boat Rentals to Lake Pleasant Cruises, Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant, the H2-Whoa water slides, the floating water park, special events and the Pleasant Harbor RV Resort, there are countless reasons for guests to visit—and even more reasons for them to return.

The opportunity is to bring these experiences together under one recognizable and compelling destination brand.

We propose a proactive marketing partnership designed to strengthen the Pleasant Harbor brand, expand its digital reach and turn greater awareness into measurable visitation, engagement, reservations and revenue.

The original Bob the Burro and Finny the Fish concepts featured throughout this proposal demonstrate how creative storytelling, memorable characters and real Pleasant Harbor experiences can work together to capture attention and introduce the destination to new audiences.

Pleasant Harbor already has the ingredients of an extraordinary destination. Our goal is to help more people discover everything waiting for them there.

An Extraordinary Destination Ready for a More Unified Story

Pleasant Harbor already offers something few properties can match: multiple experiences capable of attracting guests for a day, a weekend or an extended stay.

The challenge is not creating more reasons to visit. Those reasons already exist.

The opportunity is to connect them through a consistent marketing strategy that helps people understand everything Pleasant Harbor has to offer.

Currently, guests may discover the RV resort, marina, water park, restaurant, boat rentals, cruises or special events separately. A more unified approach would allow every attraction and promotional campaign to introduce visitors to the entire Pleasant Harbor experience.

Someone who discovers a water-slide video could become an RV resort guest. A marina customer could discover an upcoming event. A family searching for boat rentals could add a Lake Pleasant Cruise or dinner at Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant to its plans.

By presenting Pleasant Harbor as one complete destination, every part of the property can help promote the others, and ultimately bring in more revenue.

Key Opportunities

Strengthen Brand Recognition

Establish a consistent identity, message and visual style that makes Pleasant Harbor immediately recognizable across social media, advertising, video and the website.

Reenergize Social Media

Create a reliable stream of original, engaging content that showcases the property, promotes upcoming events and gives people a reason to follow, share and return.

Reconnect With the Existing Audience

Reengage Pleasant Harbor’s established Facebook following while expanding its reach to new families, boaters, campers, travelers and Arizona residents.

Turn Existing Media Coverage Into Ongoing Content

Repurpose television appearances, news coverage, press releases and special-event footage into social media content that continues working long after the original story airs.

Connect Every Revenue Center

Use strategic cross-promotion to connect the RV resort, marina, recreation, dining, rentals, cruises and events instead of marketing each offering in isolation.

Create a Measurable Marketing System

Build a coordinated process for content, social media, advertising, website traffic and campaign reporting so Pleasant Harbor can see what is generating attention, engagement, inquiries and reservations.

A Unified Destination-Marketing Strategy

The Pleasant Harbor brand should represent the complete Lake Pleasant experience.

Rather than treating the marina, RV resort, recreational activities, dining and events as unrelated offerings, we will connect them through one central destination story:

Pleasant Harbor is where people come to stay, play, explore, dine and make memories at Lake Pleasant.

Stay

Showcase the Pleasant Harbor RV Resort as a destination where guests can stay close to the lake, recreation, events and Arizona’s unforgettable outdoor scenery.

Play

Capture the excitement of the H2-Whoa water slides, floating water park and family-friendly recreational activities.

Explore

Feature Pleasant Harbor Boat Rentals, Lake Pleasant Cruises, boating adventures and the convenience of the full-service marina.

Dine

Highlight Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant as part of the complete Pleasant Harbor experience—not simply a nearby place to eat.

Gather

Promote special events, waterfront entertainment, group experiences, celebrations and memorable Arizona sunsets.

Each content campaign can lead with a different experience while reinforcing the same larger message:

Whatever brings someone to Pleasant Harbor, there is always more waiting for them when they arrive.

Bringing the Pleasant Harbor Story to Life

Meet Bob the Burro and Finny the Fish

During our initial conversation, Pleasant Harbor Resort Manager Jeff Jensen shared his original concept for two potential Pleasant Harbor characters: Bob the Burro and Finny the Fish.

Inspired by Jeff’s idea, we developed the visual character designs and brought Bob and Finny to life through original graphics, branded social media concepts and the animated “Real-Life Fun” video featured below.

The work presented here demonstrates how Jeff’s original concept could grow into a memorable, recurring campaign that introduces guests to everything Pleasant Harbor has to offer.

From the marina and water slides to boating, dining, cruises, special events and the RV resort, Bob and Finny can take audiences on new adventures throughout the entire destination.

Captures Attention

Colorful characters, humor and unexpected situations help Pleasant Harbor stand out in crowded social media feeds.

Connects With Families

Bob and Finny give children and parents recognizable characters they can associate with fun at Lake Pleasant.

Creates an Ongoing Story

Instead of producing isolated promotional posts, Pleasant Harbor can develop recurring adventures that encourage audiences to follow along and see what happens next.

Promotes the Entire Destination

One adventure might feature the water slides, while the next highlights boating, camping, Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant or a Lake Pleasant Cruise.

Connects Imagination With Reality

Animated storytelling can capture attention, while real Pleasant Harbor footage shows viewers that the experiences are not imaginary—they are waiting for them at Lake Pleasant.

One Concept. Endless Creative Possibilities.

Bob and Finny could be incorporated into a wide range of Pleasant Harbor content, including:

  • Short-form social media videos
  • Seasonal campaigns
  • Water-park promotions
  • Marina and boat-rental adventures
  • Lake Pleasant Cruise promotions
  • RV resort stories
  • Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant features
  • Special-event announcements
  • Family-oriented advertisements
  • Website and email campaign graphics

This is only one example of the creative direction we can develop for Pleasant Harbor. The larger strategy will combine original concepts like these with professional photography, video, guest experiences, event coverage and authentic footage from across the property.

One Coordinated Marketing Partner for the Entire Destination

Pleasant Harbor has multiple attractions, audiences, events and revenue opportunities. Marketing them effectively requires more than occasional posts or individual campaigns. It requires an ongoing system that keeps the property visible, connects its different experiences and gives potential guests a clear reason to visit.

We will provide the strategy, creative development and day-to-day marketing support needed to present Pleasant Harbor as one complete Lake Pleasant destination.

The exact level and volume of service will vary between the three partnership options presented later in this proposal.

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Planning

Develop a coordinated marketing calendar built around Pleasant Harbor’s priorities, seasonal opportunities, special events and individual business areas.

Campaigns will be planned to support the entire destination while also giving focused attention to the marina, RV resort, water activities, dining, rentals, cruises and events.

Brand Direction and Consistency

Establish a more consistent visual and messaging system across social media, digital advertising, video and online content.

This includes the continued development of Pleasant Harbor’s color palette, campaign language, graphic style and overall destination positioning.

Social Media Management

Create and manage a reliable social media presence that keeps Pleasant Harbor visible throughout the year.

Content may include:

• Property highlights

• Guest experiences

• Upcoming events

• Seasonal promotions

• Marina and boating content

• RV resort features

• Water-park activities

• Dillon’s Bayou Restaurant

• Pleasant Harbor Boat Rentals

• Lake Pleasant Cruises

• Arizona scenery and sunsets

The goal is to create a balanced content mix that informs, entertains and gives audiences a reason to engage with Pleasant Harbor.

Original Content and Creative Storytelling

Develop original graphics, promotional campaigns, short-form videos and creative concepts that help Pleasant Harbor stand out online.

Content will combine real property imagery, guest-focused storytelling, promotional messaging and original concepts such as the Bob the Burro and Finny the Fish campaign envisioned by Jeff Jensen and visually developed by Palmetto Media Company / RV Life Media.

Video Marketing and Existing-Footage Repurposing

Turn Pleasant Harbor’s existing videos, television appearances, news coverage, event footage and property imagery into fresh social media content.

Rather than allowing valuable footage to disappear after its original use, RV Life Media will repackage it into short videos, promotional clips, reels, advertisements and evergreen content.

New on-location video and photography production will be presented separately later in this proposal.

Event and Seasonal Promotion

Build coordinated campaigns around Pleasant Harbor’s public events, private-event opportunities, holiday weekends, seasonal activities and special promotions.

Event marketing can include announcement graphics, teaser videos, reminders, paid promotion, day-of content and post-event recaps.

Paid Digital Advertising

Develop targeted advertising campaigns designed to reach prospective visitors, RV travelers, boaters, families, event attendees and other priority audiences.

Campaign objectives may include:

• Increasing destination awareness

• Promoting events

• Driving website traffic

• Generating RV resort inquiries

• Supporting boat rentals and cruises

• Promoting seasonal activities

• Retargeting previous website visitors and engaged audiences

Campaign performance will be monitored and adjusted based on results.

Website and SEO Coordination

Support Pleasant Harbor’s website strategy by identifying opportunities to improve content, search visibility, user experience and conversion paths.

RV Life Media can coordinate with Pleasant Harbor’s existing website provider to recommend updates, develop optimized content and ensure that marketing campaigns lead visitors to relevant, useful pages.

Any major website redesign or rebuild would be scoped and approved separately.

Reporting and Ongoing Optimization

Provide regular reporting that explains what content and campaigns are generating reach, engagement, traffic, inquiries and other measurable activity.

Reporting will be used to identify what is working, refine future campaigns and help Pleasant Harbor make informed marketing decisions.

Choose the Level of Support That Best Fits Your Goals

Each partnership is designed to build a consistent, recognizable and engaging Pleasant Harbor presence while connecting the resort’s attractions, events and revenue centers through one unified marketing strategy.

Every plan includes a strong social media and digital advertising foundation. As the partnership level increases, Pleasant Harbor receives greater content volume, expanded advertising support, ongoing SEO and email marketing services, more frequent strategic collaboration and on-site photo and video production.

This progressive structure allows Pleasant Harbor to select the level of support that best matches its current goals, desired pace of growth and internal resources.

Important Details

  • Advertising budgets are paid separately and directly by Pleasant Harbor.

  • Pleasant Harbor will be responsible for maintaining an AWeber subscription—or a subscription to another email marketing platform, such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact—which will be used to collect email addresses and send biweekly emails.

  • Tier 3 includes four seasonal on-site photo and video shoots per year. The production fees for these shoots are included; however, associated travel expenses are billed separately.

  • For Tiers 1–2, on-site photography, videography, drone services and related travel expenses are not included. These services will be quoted separately based on the scope of each shoot.

  • Major website development, redesigns and third-party software or vendor expenses are quoted separately.

  • Final platforms, publishing schedules and approval procedures will be established during onboarding.

  • Content quantities may be adjusted by mutual agreement when a larger production replaces multiple standard content pieces.

  • A customized implementation plan will be presented after Pleasant Harbor selects its preferred partnership level.

Discovery and Brand Foundation

Before creating the first piece of content, we will begin with a comprehensive discovery process to ensure that every campaign, graphic, video, article and social media post accurately represents Pleasant Harbor.

During this phase, we will review Pleasant Harbor’s websites, existing marketing materials and overall digital presence. We will also meet with Jeff and other members of the Pleasant Harbor team as needed to gather information, confirm important details and better understand the property’s goals, audiences and individual revenue centers.

Using these insights, we will establish or refine Pleasant Harbor’s:

  • Brand voice and messaging
  • Preferred terminology
  • Visual direction
  • Color palette and font selections
  • Supporting brand elements
  • Content and campaign guidelines

This process will create a consistent creative and strategic foundation for everything we produce and help us accurately communicate the complete Pleasant Harbor experience across every platform.

One-Time Discovery and Brand Foundation Fee: $3,000

This fee applies to the Social Media Relaunch and Integrated Destination Marketing plans. The $3,000 fee is waived when Pleasant Harbor selects the Full-Service Destination Partnership for 6 months.

Pleasant Harbor Rebirth & Relaunch Plan

The first 90 days will focus on building the foundation, relaunching Pleasant Harbor’s digital presence and using real performance data to guide the next phase of growth.

The exact volume of content, advertising and campaign support will depend on the partnership option selected, but every level will follow the same strategic progression.

Days 1–30

Showcase the Pleasant Harbor RV Resort as a destination where guests can stay close to the lake, recreation, events and Arizona’s unforgettable outdoor scenery.

  • Conduct a kickoff strategy meeting with Pleasant Harbor leadership

Marketing Experience Built Around the RV and Camping Industry

Palmetto Media Company is not a general marketing agency attempting to learn the outdoor-hospitality industry from the outside. Our experience has been shaped by years of working with RV parks, campgrounds, glamping properties and destination-based businesses.

Our founder’s experience traveling and living full-time in a fifth wheel provided an even deeper understanding of the RV lifestyle—from how travelers discover destinations and compare amenities to what ultimately influences them to make a reservation.

That combination of professional experience and firsthand industry knowledge led Palmetto Media Company to establish RV Life Media, a specialized sister brand dedicated to serving RV parks, campgrounds, glamping retreats, marinas and outdoor destinations.

We Understand the Guest Journey

We understand what today’s travelers look for before choosing a destination: attractive sites, useful amenities, recreational opportunities, memorable experiences, nearby attractions and a clear sense of what their stay will feel like. Our marketing is designed to answer those questions while helping potential guests imagine themselves at the property.

Proven Experience Reaching RV Travelers

Our campground marketing experience includes building engaged social media audiences, creating websites before properties opened, integrating online reservation systems and producing videos that have reached millions of viewers. For one RV park, we helped build a Facebook community of more than 21,000 followers, with six individual videos surpassing one million views. These results were achieved by creating content people genuinely wanted to watch, share and use when planning their travels.

Previous Work & Proven Results

Explore examples of videos we’ve created for RV parks and campgrounds—from helpful safety tips and quick amenity highlights to humorous, story-driven content and promotional videos designed to build awareness, engage audiences, and generate bookings.

Drone Highlight Videos — With Voiceover

Adding a professional voiceover transforms aerial footage into a guided story. Narration can introduce the property, explain its amenities, highlight its location and communicate the experiences that make it unique. This voiceover version showcases Bud’s RV Resort and Marina while helping potential guests understand what the resort has to offer.

Drone Highlight Videos — Without Voiceover

Drone highlight videos without narration allow the property’s scenery, layout and atmosphere to speak for themselves. Through cinematic aerial footage, viewers can experience the amenities, waterfront setting and overall character of the destination. This example was filmed at Bud’s RV Resort and Marina in Lake Wales, Florida.

Promotional Highlight Reels

Professionally edited highlight reels showcase a property’s most attractive features and create excitement around its brand. This video was created to introduce and promote the newly opened Fox Crossing RV Park in Fair Play, South Carolina.

AI-Powered Promotional Storytelling

These engaging videos use realistic AI personas and entertaining stories to showcase a property’s personality, amenities, and guest experience. This example was created to promote Bud’s RV Resort and Marina in a fun, memorable way.

Historical & Documentary-Style Content

Documentary-style videos bring history to life through compelling stories and memorable moments from the past. This example explores Deadwood, South Dakota—the historic town where Wild Bill Hickok was killed—and demonstrates how this style can showcase your property’s history or share fascinating stories connected to its past.

Promotional Videos

Engaging promotional videos showcase the property and inspire viewers to book their stay. This video, created for Shellring RV Park and Campground in Walterboro, South Carolina, generated more than 25,000 organic views and helped drive the park’s first wave of bookings.

Safety Tips Videos

Educational videos provide practical information while positioning your brand as a trusted resource. This example, highlighting the importance of performing a fifth-wheel tug test, was posted for Summerville Lakes RV Park and Campground in South Carolina.

Short-and-Sweet Highlight Videos

Quick, engaging videos use trending music or sounds to showcase property amenities and features. This example was created for Livin’ on Wheels RV Park and Campground in Georgia.

Storytelling Videos

Heartwarming, story-driven videos showcase the people and sense of community that make a property special. This example from Summerville Lakes RV Park and Campground, near Charleston, South Carolina, tells the story of guests who helped an elderly woman move, level, and set up her travel trailer at a new site.
